Susan Sandel

Susan Sandel grew up in Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in English, and went on to pursue a singing and acting career in L.A.. Her theater credits include a Drama-Logue award for her role as Sarah Brown in GUYS AND DOLLS with the Actor's Coop in Hollywood. The Valley Theater League nominated her as Best Actress in a musical for her work as Mrs. Pavlenko in A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD, A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE.

Other theater credits include Julie Jordan in CAROUSEL, Maria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Lauren Bacall in BOGART and all of the women characters in Arthur Marx's GROUCHO at the Tiffany Attic Dinner Theatre in Kansas City, Mo. She also performed as a featured cabaret singer in the Cinegrill Room at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Film and television credits include SILVER SPOONS, SUPERIOR COURT, and THE DUST FACTORY as well as a variety of national commercials.

She returned to Willamette University to complete her MAT in early childhood and elementary education and works as a teacher in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District. Currently Susan enjoys singing jazz in a variety of venues around the Portland area and is especially fond of having a 'musical conversation' with many of the very talented local jazz artists.
